Four groups submit bids for Saudi Aramco IPP
State oil company Saudi Aramco received bids from four groups for the planned Marjan cogeneration independent steam and power plant (ISPP) and Tanajib desalination plant.
According to sources close to the scheme, the oil company received bids from the following groups on 30 September:

The Tanajib desalination project was added to the scope of the project during the prequalification stage.
Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) has been appointed as financial adviser for the project, with Germany’s Fichtner Consulting Engineers appointed as technical consultant. The client is targeting for the project to reach financial close by 28 February 2020.
