Yellow Door Energy commissions 2MW Dubai solar project

The local Yellow Door Energy has commissioned a 2MW photovoltaic (PV) solar rooftop project for Future Pipe Industries (FPI) in Dubai Industrial City. The plant is expected to generate 3,200megawatt-hours of clean energy in its first year of operation, equivalent to reducing 1,300 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

The local Yellow Door Energy has commissioned a 2MW photovoltaic (PV) solar rooftop project for Future Pipe Industries (FPI) in Dubai Industrial City.

The plant is expected to generate 3,200megawatt-hours of clean energy in its first year of operation, equivalent to reducing 1,300 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

The solar plant covers the rooftops of four warehouses in Dubai Industrial City, covering a total area of 18,000 square metres and comprising of more than 6,000 solar panels. It will meet 40 per cent of the factory’s energy needs.

Yellow Door Energy has a portfolio of more than 100MW of solar projects across the Middle East. Its projects in Dubai include a 5.5MW solar project it developed for international food company Nestle.
