TripSaver® II Cutout-Mounted Recloser

TripSaver® II Cutout-Mounted Recloser provides a new way to think about spur protection. It combines the best of fuse-saving and fuse-blowing and can be used as a replacement to a traditional fuse or hydraulic recloser. TripSaver II is a great solution for all utility customers, especially those using a fuse-blowing strategy on their laterals or utilities currently using hydraulic reclosers and suffering from high O&M costs. TripSaver II keeps the power on and avoids truck rolls since power is restored automatically for transient faults. With just 4 eliminated truck rolls, TripSaver II pays for itself. Expect SAIFI reductions of 50% or greater and SAIDI reductions based on the switching and repair times for the feeder involved.
